Capt'n Duke

Capt'N Duke is a member of our Near Shore charter fleet. The boats fish 2-5 miles offshore and also fish in the Sound. All of our Near Shore boats carry a maximum of 6 anglers. You book either half day trips or full day trips with Near Shore charters. "Duke" Spencer is the captain and is a 4th generation fisherman on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Captain Duke has over 30 years of experience fishing both the Atlantic Ocean and the North Carolina sounds. The vessel Capt'N Duke is a beautiful 36-foot Bruno Stillman with a Caterpillar 3126 engine. The charter cruises at a smooth 19 knots. The cabin is comfortable and roomy and is heated for comfortable late fall and winter fishing trips. Fishing the Near Shore waters with Captain Duke produces catches of Cobia, Striped Bass, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Taylor Blues, Spot, Flounder, Trout and Croaker.
